Each steel sieve with handle has a frame diameter, traceable serial number and a certificate attesting to its compliance with current international requirements.
Certification and measurement of wire mesh sieve
  • Each Test Sieve is given a serial number for identification and comes with NIST traceable paperwork.
  • The apertures of modern test sieves are measured using a computer-aided optical video imaging equipment connected to customised statistical software.
  • Regular calibration to NIST traceable standards is performed on the measurement system.
  • Test Sieves are available with certifications or recertifications to ASTM E11-20 or ISO 3310 Specifications.
  • There is a separate box for each Test Sieve.
Brass vs stainless steel sieves
Brass sieves Stainless steel sieves
less robust more robust
built with a brass frame frame made of stainless steel
less resistant to corrosion more resistant to corrosion
Brass is only used in a very small number of applications instead of stainless steel. suitable for pharmaceuticals, wet sieving, aggregates, food applications, and mining
